Ichika, the beautiful proprietress of a long-established inn that has been passed down for generations, is worried about the financial difficulties caused by the construction of a resort hotel nearby, along with her husband, the manager. One day, a man calling himself Takahashi visits the inn and proposes to Ichika that he "sell the inn."
