After passing the bank screening, Shinya finally purchases his dream new house with a 35-year loan. However, there is one problem... that is, his wife Misako's mother, Mio. Since her husband passed away, Mio has been living with her eldest son, but she doesn't get along with her eldest son's wife and has lost her spirit. Seeing Misako worrying about her mother, Shinya volunteers to let Mio live with him. And so they begin living together with their mother-in-law. At first, it's awkward between the two, but then something happens that brings them closer together...
