A few years into their marriage, Kasumi plans to buy a house soon, and at her husband's suggestion, she stays with her father-in-law, Shozo, for a while. Shozo lost his wife a few years ago, and now he no longer has the same dignified presence that he once had, which worries Kasumi. Since that day, Shozo has not shown any signs of improvement, no matter how much Kasumi tries to cheer him up. Unable to bear seeing her father-in-law like that, she becomes his wife and touches his skin, reminding him of their youth.
