Haruko, who struggled to find a job after graduating from university due to the effects of the recession, ends up working at a real estate company run by Takada through her father's connections. Takada has been friends with her parents since their university days and has often come to her house since Haruko was a child. Seeing Haruko working with such vigor, like a fish in water, Takada becomes attracted to her and sees a resemblance to her mother, who was the Madonna of her club when she was young.
