Ami and Takuro, two university students, have been friends since childhood and have been close ever since. They recently started dating. Takuro's father, Toru, is a workaholic and serious person, but he is divorced from his wife. He feels attracted to his son's girlfriend, but he holds himself back because he thinks it's not good. Meanwhile, Toru gets fired from his job. Toru is deeply hurt and angry by the words that Ami says to encourage him.
