One day, Maika is caught shoplifting at a convenience store and is stopped by a man. The man admonishes her, asking "Why did you do that?" Maika opens Kokoro to the man who has scolded her for the first time, and begins to tell him bits and pieces about her upbringing, begging the man to hurt her.
