It's been a year since Akira, the son she raised alone, came to Tokyo to train as a chef. Shiho welcomes Akira back home with some okonomiyaki, but her son says, "I want to quit my training." The next day, Shiho is unable to refuse her brother-in-law's relationship in order to send him money, and Akira sees her in his arms. Akira regrets himself for saying he wants to quit his training so easily, even though his mother supports him, and Shiho tells him a story about okonomiyaki with his late father.
