By chance, Maki met Yoshimitsu, who is divorced, and became his second wife. She began living with her quiet and kind husband, her unemployed brother-in-law, and her spiteful father-in-law. As a wife in a family of only men, Maki works hard. But her brother-in-law and father-in-law take advantage of Maki's devoted kindness and start to harass her.
