The story is divided into three parts: the first part is set in the autumn of 1958, when the Anti-Prostitution Law was enacted, and tells of a beautiful, busty former Yoshiwara prostitute who comes to a nunnery in a mountain village in Hyogo Prefecture, where she becomes a sacrifice to lust-crazed Buddhist monks and is forced to commit incest with her son, whom she meets again for the first time in over a decade; the second and third parts are set in the latter part of the Heisei era, when the temporary employment law is revised and social inequality is widening, and the husband of a former bureaucrat who has been transferred from one government post to another suddenly dies, leaving his wife to become the prey of ugly elite bureaucrats.
