Mariko is in conflict with the school over a bullying issue and is sent to a new post far away. At her new school, she becomes the advisor for the art club, whose only member is Kuroi. One day, as she is about to head to the clubroom, she sees Kuroi being bullied. Mariko scolds him, but the situation doesn't change. She is overcome with a sense of helplessness, but Kuroi tells her, "I'm happy that you're just protecting me." Feeling a mixture of pity and love, Mariko crosses the line with Kuroi in the clubroom after school.
