Kasumi is a young wife who lives with her husband Yuya in a town near Tokyo. They are financially well off, Yuya is kind, and they live a life of luxury, but they have one worry. They have been trying to conceive for a year, but they have not been able to get pregnant. When they undergo fertility treatment, they find out that Yuya has a low sperm count. Kasumi hopes that she and Yuya can live happily together even if they cannot have children, but seeing Yuya looking depressed, she begins to think about what she can do. One day, the head of the neighborhood association, Kita, comes to her with some news. Kasumi tells Kita about her worries about conceiving.
